  • Was an F-5
  • Struck Central America
  • Sixth storm named Felix
  • Second Hurricane named Felix
  • Also second F-5 with this name
  • Formed August 31,2007 from a tropic wave near coast of Africa
    • Then passing through warm air and storms
      • Thus becoming a cyclone which soon formed the eye of the hurricane
        • September 2 it rapidly formed into a hurricane
          • The next day it had turned to an F-5 hurricane
  • {Hit south of border between Nicaragua and Honduras(Mosquito Coast)

  • Lasted for 11.25 days with a max speed of 115 mph.
  • Almost all buildings lost their roofs or got destroyed.
  • Mudslides and floods were reported around Mosquito Coast
  • About 133 people died
    • At least 130 of them were in Nicaragua
      • 25 were fishermen

  • The weather  connsists of winds with speeds up to 46mph and lots of rain.
Preperation
  1. Fix house with wood and nails, make sure everything is in a  safe place
  2. Find a shelter to stay at or leave to go somewhere save if possible
  3. Get supplies: Food, fisrt aid ,etc.
  4. Once things are prepared listen and check on the report about the hurricane
  5. Once the hurricane reaches land, go to the shelter immediately and wait out the storm

Interesting pictures but two of them do not show up for some reason. (?Maybe broken link?) Or maybe it's my computer, you may want to double check on those.
